Business Process Analysis (BPA) is a system that helps a company operate more efficiently so that they may cut back on costs, save more resources and be of better service to their customers. Basically think of BPA as a map. When you use a map, you are able to see the entire picture of where you want to go. Automating Business Processes

Business Process Automation is the task of taking manual computer tasks necessary for the function of your business and automating them. From the day we started in the IT industry we started Rede Software, we saw the same frustrating pattern over and over again. Businesses were relying on their IT solutions in order to succeed. Yet often it seemed like people were working for their IT instead of their IT working for them.

Here is a list of business processes that in our opinion should be automated:

Process – Description of automation

Data entry: Entering data received via an electronic medium into an application
Data access & manipulation: Accessing data (e.g. From a database) and using or modifying it as appropriate

The biggest reason to automate tasks that are taking so long to finish is that it allows you to refocus your time and energy on things that are important to your business. Imagine if all the man-hours wasted on mindless & repetitive tasks could instead be used on areas of your business that need it most. Instead of Staff having to click away pointlessly on the screen they can be re-allocated to parts of the business that could use them.

Imagine then a staff member who’s job it is to mindlessly copy data from one application and input it into another, a task that could potentially take hours at a time. How would they feel about their job? How would they feel about their employer? How would they feel about themselves? Imagine if instead of doing that they could click a button and load up a program that does all that work for them. How could this staff member be better utilised? Could they be assigned tasks that improve customer satisfaction or generate more sales? How much better would they feel about themselves for having a more challenging and less repetitive job? What Is Business Process Re Engineering

BPR can be defined as “the profound rethinking and revolutionary redesign of business process to reach spectacular improvements of public presentation, such as cost, quality and service”.

The key words here are profound, radical, dramatic and physical process: BPR recognizes that there is a need to change functional power structures.

A “Business process” can be thought of as a collection of activities that takes one or more kinds as follows.

A re-engineered outgrowth has certain device characteristics:

(a) Often several lines of work are fluxed into one

(b) Workers often make decisions.

(c) The steps in the physical process are performed in a logical ordering.

(d) Work is performed where it makes most sense.

(e) Checks and controls may be cut back, and quality ‘built in’.

(g) The advantages of centralized and decentralized surgical procedures are blended.

We named seven rationales of BPR:

(a) Processes should be designed to attain a trusted consequence rather than focusing on subsisting jobs.

(b) Force who uses the yield from a physical process should perform the outgrowth. For example, a company could set up a database of approved providers; this would allow forces who actually ask provisions to order them themselves, perhaps using online applied science, thereby doing away with the need for a separate buying procedure.

(c) Information processing should be included in the workplace which makes the selective information. This does away with the specialization between information gathering and information processing.

(d) Geographically propagated resources should be treated as if they are concentrated. This allows the welfare of centralization to be obtained, for example, economies of scale through central negotiation of provision contracts, without losing the benefits of decentralization, such as responsibilities.

(e) Parallel activities should be linked up rather than integrated. This would need, for example, co-ordination between team work on different prospects of a business process.

(f) ‘Doers’ should be allowed to be self-managing. The traditional differentiation between workers and coaches can be got rid of: determination attentions such as technical s ms can be provided where they are required.
